ST. LOUIS (AP) - Authorities say a man has been found fatally shot near a St. Louis park where an anti-violence march had ended just hours earlier.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1HPEXCl ) reports that the man was found shot in the head and torso shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday near Rauschenbach Park. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A “Stop the Violence” march had drawn several hundred people to the area earlier in the day. This year has been particularly violent in St. Louis, with the man’s death marking the city’s 127th homicide so far. There were 159 in all of 2014.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
