CHITTENDEN, Vt. (AP) - Vermont state police say a Pittsford pilot and his passenger were uninjured after their seaplane crashed and overturned in Chittenden Reservoir.

Police say the accident occurred Sunday just before noon.

Authorities say the pilot - 72-year-old James Booth - and his passenger, Cindy Steinmann, were not injured in the crash.

Police said the seaplane was successfully and safety removed from the reservoir.

Troopers say they are working with Federal Aviation Administration inspectors to determine the cause of the crash.

The Chittenden Reservoir is open for public use.
