LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) - A 16-year-old boy has died in a Lynchburg shooting that also left two injured.

Police did not identify the deceased teenager or a possible suspect in connection with the Saturday night shooting. Authorities tell local media that 21-year-old Dakota Scott of Lynchburg and a 17-year-old boy are both expected to recover from their injuries.

Nearby resident Hope Damata tells The News & Advance (https://bit.ly/1IVS3Cb ) that she believes the incident was gang-related and connected to a shooting that happened on the same block last week where 31-year-old Eric Payne was shot in the leg.
