RAVENEL, S.C. (AP) - Charleston County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a weekend shooting that left a man dead in the rural community of Ravenel west of Charleston.

Authorities tell local media outlets that they responded to reports of shots being fired at a gas station about 2 a.m. Sunday. A patient with gunshot wounds went to a hospital and died several hours later.

The victim was identified as 24-year-old Richard Butler of Hollywood, (South Carolina).

No arrests have been made.
