WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington Police are investigating two separate shootings that took place within four hours.

The first shooting was reported about 11:15 p.m. Sunday near 6th Avenue and Madison Street. Officers found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

Authorities say the man heard several gunshots and realized he had been hit. He was taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.

Police say the second shooting was reported about 2:45 a.m. Monday at 10th Avenue and Bennett Street. Officers say a 24-year-old man was shot in his abdomen and legs. He was taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.
