HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Officials say a fire that was sparked by lightning has displaced three families in Hartford.

It happened at around 10:22 p.m. Saturday in the city’s South End area.

Fire officials say it began on the top floor of the two and a half story home. There were people inside when the fire started but no injuries were reported.

Officials say the lightning strike came during a late-night thunderstorm. Fires were reported at other homes.

Three families were displaced, including six adults and one child. The Hartford Fire Department Special Services Unit and the American Red Cross assisted with relocating the families.
