LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police have obtained an arrest warrant for the 36-year-old son of a Las Vegas woman who was apparently strangled to death last week at an apartment southeast of the Strip.

Officer Larry Hadfield said Monday that David Dinunzio is sought in the slaying of 62-year-old Francine Dinunzio.

Police have released the son’s photo from a June 6 arrest on an unspecified charge.

His mom’s body was found Thursday at an address off Bermuda Road near Serene Avenue.

The Clark County coroner says a ruling on the cause and manner of her death is pending.

Lt. Dan McGrath says police summoned to the apartment found the front door unlocked and the mom dead.

Authorities said it appeared she’d been choked.

David Dinunzio’s belongings were there, but he was gone.
