TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - A memorial service is being planned to remember a police dog shot and killed last week in northern Ohio.

City in leaders Toledo say the service will take place on Thursday afternoon at a downtown arena.

Toledo police say the German Shepherd, named Falko, was shot Wednesday while chasing a man inside a vacant home.

Police say the man who turned out to be wanted on a murder warrant in Cleveland shot the dog.

Officers say Reginald Marshall of Cleveland was later found dead in the vacant house after a short standoff. Police have not said how Marshall died.
