LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles authorities say a pedestrian has been struck and killed by a Metrolink train in the San Fernando Valley.

Margaret Stewart of the LA Fire Department says the crash happened shortly after 7 a.m. Monday in Pacoima.

The coroner’s office says the fatally injured person was described only as a male.

City News Service says the train, Antelope Valley Line 201, was en route to Lancaster.

Metrolink says some disruption on train lines is expected.
