PITTSBURGH (AP) - Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter is headed across the state to headline a comedy event in Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1JbG40k) the second-term mayor will appear Wednesday at Candidates Comedy Night at the Pittsburgh Improv in Homestead.

Nutter was a DJ before entering politics and has occasionally revisited his Mix Master Mike persona to perform Sugar Hill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight” at public events.

The Post-Gazette reports Nutter was a late addition to Wednesday’s lineup, which also includes Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and county’s Republican Party chairman.

The annual event has raised nearly $500,000 over the last decade to support children’s programs provided by the county’s Department of Human Services.
