AKRON, Ohio (AP) - Police say a man arguing with someone at an Ohio gas station shot that person with a gun he grabbed from a clerk who was trying to break up the fight.

The Akron Beacon Journal (https://bit.ly/1KqyCiM ) reports the 25-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with assault after the shooting Sunday in Akron.

Police say he and another man in his 20s got into an argument at a gas station around 1:30 a.m. They say the business owner and clerk went outside to break up the fight, and the suspect grabbed a gun from the clerk’s waist and fired.

The victim was struck in the arm and left side of the stomach. His injuries weren’t considered life-threatening.

Police say witnesses provided the suspect’s license plate number. He was found at home.
