SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP) - Springdale police have arrested a woman in the stabbing death of the woman’s boyfriend.

The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1MtthLW ) the woman was arrested Sunday for suspicion of first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence. She is being held in the Washington County Jail without bond.

The victim’s name has not been released.

Police say officers were called to the apartment on the city’s east side for a suicide or attempted suicide and found the man with a knife wound to the chest. Police say the woman initially said she found the man in a pool of blood following an argument, but later admitted she stabbed him and cleaned the knife before placing it near his body.
