TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in Tucson still are trying to locate two kangaroos that escaped from a private home.

Pima County Sheriff’s officials say the marsupials are a breed that’s a mixture between a kangaroo and a wallaby.

They were last seen hopping around the Tucson Mountain District after escaping Monday from the yard of a home on the city’s far northwest side.

Sheriff’s officials say the kangaroos aren’t believed to be aggressive and the department has put out an “attempt to locate” call to deputies in the area.
