BALDWIN, Pa. (AP) - Five people had to be rescued when cars they were in got stuck in waist-deep water on a busy road in Pittsburgh’s South Hills suburbs.

Baldwin Borough Fire Chief Kevin Kenny says the cars got stuck when Streets Run Creek flooded onto Streets Run Road during heavy rains before 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Nobody was hurt.

A swift water rescue team threw flotation devices to those in the cars and pulled them to safety.
