STONINGTON, Maine (AP) - Authorities in Maine have found the body of a 71-year-old man who was reported missing Monday afternoon.

Bruce Greenlaw of Deer Isle was last seen alive in Stonington around 3:30 p.m. Monday. Maine game wardens located his body just after 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Authorities say it appears that Greenlaw, who had dementia and had missed his medication, suffered a medical event. His family reported him missing after he left to check on some machinery in the woods and did not return.

The Maine Warden Service, Maine Association for Search and Rescue, Maine Search and Rescue Dogs, Stonington Fire Department, and Hancock County Sheriff’s office helped with the overnight search.
