ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles County authorities say a body has been found in the middle of a mountain road near a wrecked car that apparently tumbled down a steep hillside.

Fire Inspector Chris Reade said Tuesday that crews are searching the remote area in the San Gabriel Mountains above Arcadia for anyone else who may have been in the car.

Reade says it appears the victim was ejected as the car rolled down the cliff near the Chantry Flat recreation area.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
