GARDNERVILLE, Nev. (AP) - Two Douglas County Sherriff’s Office patrol cars were damaged after deputies tried to stop a man accused of driving under the influence in Gardnerville.

Deputies responded to a reported DUI Sunday evening. As they approached the reported Dodge pickup truck, the driver drove away. Deputies pursued the vehicle. Officials say the suspect stopped at an intersection and then rammed his truck into two patrol vehicles.

Deputies later were able to successfully block the pickup and arrest the man for investigation of felony DUI, assault with a deadly weapon, felony eluding, expired registration and destruction of property. His bail has been set at $121,436.

A deputy and the suspect were treated for minor injuries.
