MOAB, Utah (AP) - Fees are set to increase at Arches and Canyonlands national parks to fund maintenance and improvement project within the parks.

The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/1PjYkJw ) that entrance, campground and Fiery Furnace fares will go up starting Oct. 1.

Under the new entrance fees at Arches and Canyonlands, private vehicles will pay $25, those on foot or bicycle will pay $10, and motorcycles will pay $15.

The Southeast Utah Group pass, which covers Arches and Canyonlands, and Hovenweek and Natural Bridges national monuments will increase from $25 to $50.
