CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul says he will visit Wyoming at the end of the month.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://goo.gl/U261ql ) the U.S. senator from Kentucky is set to make stops in Cheyenne and Casper on Aug. 28 as part of a tour of Western states that include Alaska, Washington, Idaho and Utah. U.S. Reps. Cynthia Lummis and Raul Labrador, who are Paul’s Western states co-chairmen, will be at both Wyoming rallies.

Paul will be one of the first presidential candidates in the crowded GOP field to visit Wyoming. Ben Carson visited Jackson on Monday, and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is set to speak in Cheyenne at a fundraiser for the Wyoming Republican Party on Thursday.

None of the Democratic candidates has visited Wyoming this election cycle.
