HASKELL, Ark. (AP) - A Haskell police officer was fired after being arrested on a complaint of second-degree sexual assault involving a minor.

Arkansas State Police arrested 32-year-old Kyle Vaughn on Monday. Vaughn was being held at the Saline County jail Tuesday pending a bond hearing Wednesday. Jail records listed no lawyer for Vaughn.

State Police spokesman Bill Sadler says Vaughn agreed to be interviewed Monday and arrived at state police headquarters driving his patrol car, wearing his badge and carrying his gun. Sadler said Vaughn was arrested during the interview.

Haskell Police Chief Jim Bauldree says Vaughn had worked for the department since November 2013.

An affidavit with details of the charges was not available Tuesday. Jail records say Vaughn could face other charges.
