DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A 55-year-old Jesup man has claimed his $1 million prize from the Iowa Lottery.

Brian Delagardelle came forward Monday after consulting with his accountant. He told lottery officials that he planned to invest most of his money for his retirement.

He bought the Powerball ticket in the eastern Iowa community of Washburn. His winning ticket in Saturday night’s drawing matched the first five numbers but missed the Powerball number.
