CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A Williamsburg County man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for a wreck that killed a woman in Charleston.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reported (https://bit.ly/1K3pV2b) that 37-year-old Arnold Bradford Williams of Salters was sentenced on charges of reckless vehicular homicide.

Prosecutor Burns Wetmore says Williams had been in jail since Aug. 28, 2013.

Twenty-seven-year-old Lauren Elyse Baccari was killed Jan. 28, 2013, in a wreck on Interstate 526.

Witnesses told police they saw Williams tossing beer cans off an overpass after the wreck. Officers found the cans.

Baccari was a newlywed medical student who planned to practice family medicine.
