TROY, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a 19-year-old man is dead and a teenage boy is hospitalized after they were shot at an upstate New York intersection.

Officials say the shooting occurred around 12:10 a.m. Tuesday in the city of Troy. Police say the 19-year-old victim was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Troy, where he was pronounced dead. A 14-year-old boy is being treated at Albany Medical Center for a gunshot wound to the leg. He’s expected to survive.

Police say a chase ensued after the shooting. The pursuit ended across the Hudson River on a ramp leading to Interstate 87 just north of Albany. Police say they found four guns inside the vehicle and have taken several people into custody.

The victims’ names haven’t been released.
