LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) - A man who secretly recorded people using restrooms at a Los Angeles County Starbucks and other locations has been sentenced to nearly 10 years in prison.

Antonio Serrano was sentenced Tuesday in Lancaster and ordered to register as a sex offender for life.

He pleaded no contest to invasion of privacy, possession of child pornography, identity theft and loitering about toilets to solicit lewd acts.

Authorities say that in May and July, the 38-year-old transient recorded children and adults at a Lancaster Starbucks, a Chuck E. Cheese and an Antelope Valley mall.

City News Service says the scheme unraveled when a child found a cellphone taped to the pipe lining of a sink at the Starbucks.
