HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Marshall University says it is preparing to host its first conference on safety that focuses on culture at local and regional businesses.

The conference is set for Sept. 17.

The university says safety, health and environmental professionals are invited to attend. The conference will offer lessons in human factors, risk tolerance and other components of safety culture.

The keynote speaker will be the senior adviser for organizational and safety culture at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
