DENVER (AP) - Denver police say four women were held captive in a garage for hours and at least some of them were beaten, sexually assaulted and threated with drug overdoses.

The Denver Post reported Wednesday (https://tinyurl.com/ng3sehc) the women were abducted on Aug. 13 and released the next day. Their conditions weren’t known.

Four men were arrested on charges including kidnapping, attempted kidnapping, assault and menacing.

Police say the captors allowed one of the women to leave on Aug. 14, and she went to a hospital and reported she had been sexually assaulted. Officers went to the garage where they found the other three victims and arrested three men.

The fourth suspect was arrested Monday.
