WORTHINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Authorities have identified a body found in the West Fork River as that of a woman who was swept into the water while fishing.

Police tell media outlets that the State Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Sheila Nethken’s death as an accidental drowning.

Police say the 40-year-old Maidsville resident was fishing with a friend on Aug. 11 when she waded into the water above falls in Marion County. She was then swept into the river.

Search crews found Nethken’s body downriver from the Worthington Dam on Saturday.
