MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. (AP) - The Federal Aviation Administration says a small panel door fell from an American Airlines Airbus 321 and landed on a North Carolina golf course.

The airline said no one was hurt when the panel fell from the plane, which carried six crew members and 146 passengers.

FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said a golfer reported the 15-by-15-inch part fell about 8:20 a.m. Wednesday onto the Green Meadows Golf Course in Mount Holly. Bergen says the part came off American Airlines Flight 1910 flying from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

American Airlines said US Airways was operating the flight. Its statement said the panel door covered the hydraulic servicing area, a non-pressurized area, and posed no safety issue aboard.

American said the plane landed at its destination in Charlotte about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.
