LIVERMORE, Calif. (AP) - Fire officials say a fast-moving grass fire east of Livermore has scorched nearly 4 square miles and is threatening a nearby motorcycle park.

CalFire fire prevention specialist Pam Temmermand tells the Oakland Tribune (https://bayareane.ws/1TUAIBP ) the fire started Wednesday and quickly charred 3.9 square miles.

She says the blaze destroyed one structure, but it is not clear if it’s an outbuilding or a residence. The nearby Carnegie motorcycle park has been evacuated.

Temmermand says 23 engines, three bulldozers, four air tankers and two helicopters from Alameda County fire district were fighting the blaze and crews from the East Bay Regional Parks fire district are expected to join the line Wednesday evening.
