TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A man has been arrested in a car crash last month in Tucson that killed four people including a pregnant woman.

Tucson police announced Wednesday that 26-year-old Jesus Olea was booked into the Pima County Jail on suspicion of four counts of manslaughter.

It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.

Olea had been hospitalized since the July 27 crash for treatment of injuries.

Police say Olea was driving a car with three passengers inside just before 2 a.m.

They say he lost control of the vehicle at a bend in the road and it struck a palm tree.

Police say 25-year-old Alexandria Lara and her unborn child died shortly after being transported to a hospital.

The say 26-year-old Martin Verdugo and 28-year-old Sheyla Velarde were declared dead at the scene.
