WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington Police are looking for a driver who left after striking a pedestrian.

It happened about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on West 28th Street. Officers say 47-year-old Dwayne Wisher was crossing in the middle of the block when he was hit by a car. The car drove away.

Wisher was taken to Christiana Hospital, where he died.

Authorities are looking for a two-door, silver or gray compact car with possible front end damage in connection with the incident.
