BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - The Montana Highway Patrol says a man was killed when his vehicle was hit by a train west of Reed Point.
Trooper Aaron Freivalds tells The Billings Gazette (https://goo.gl/2HFfuz ) the man was trying to beat the train at a railroad crossing when he was hit just before 1 p.m. Wednesday.
The man, whose name and age have not been released, died at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt, and there is no indication that alcohol was involved in the crash.
