BREVARD, N.C. (AP) - A man has been sentenced to nearly two years in prison after pleading guilty to charges in a wreck that killed a passenger in western North Carolina.
The Asheville Citizen-Times reported (https://avlne.ws/1LkN1mn ) that 20-year-old Carlos Soloman-Ramon pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter Tuesday in court in Brevard.
The wreck happened Aug. 3, 2014, on a road in the Pisgah National Forest. There were seven people inside an SUV. Twenty-nine-year-old Juan Lopez died in the crash.
Investigators said Soloman-Ramon was impaired when the wreck happened.
