LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities have reopened a part of the Las Vegas Strip after a police officer was hurt in a crash involving a patrol vehicle and a private vehicle.

The crash at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road happened about 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Las Vegas police said the marked patrol vehicle collided with a private vehicle and struck the northeast intersection wall in front of The Cromwell casino-hotel.

The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and two people in the other vehicle were treated at the scene.

Authorities shut down northbound Las Vegas Boulevard at Flamingo Road and restricted traffic on westbound Flamingo Road for several hours in the morning.
