AUGUSTA, Ark. (AP) - A Cherry Valley man has died after his crop duster crashed in Woodruff County.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1E4DuNJ ) reports 34-year-old Chad Powell died Tuesday morning. According to the Woodruff County sheriff’s office, he was flying a crop duster over a field when the aircraft clipped a telephone pole and traveled a few miles before crashing in a wooded area.

Sheriff Phil Reynolds said Powell was spraying insecticides on beans in the area.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
