AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Texas Department of Public Safety troopers on the lookout for drunken drivers will increase patrols through Labor Day weekend.

DPS says additional patrols will begin Friday and run through the holiday on Monday, Sept. 7.

Troopers will focus DWI patrols in high-risk locations at times when alcohol-related crashes are most frequent.

The additional patrols are funded through a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation.
