CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Attorney General Patrick Morrisey says West Virginia will receive more than $845,000 from a multistate settlement with Amgen Inc.

The $71 million settlement resolved investigations by 48 states and the District of Columbia into illegal marketing of Amgen’s drugs Aranesp and Enbrel.

Tuesday’s settlement covers the dosing schedule of Aranesp, promotion of the drug as a treatment for anemia caused by cancer, and marketing of Enbrel as a treatment for mild plaque psoriasis. Enbrel is only approved for chronic moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.
