INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Two 18-year-old men have been charged in the death of their roommate, who authorities say was found dead in a pile of mulch in the lot of an abandoned Indianapolis factory.

The Indianapolis Star (https://indy.st/1MzgQhE ) reports Keith Cornwell and Caleb Bixler have been charged with murder in the death of 37-year-old Ron Trahan. Court documents say Trahan’s body was found Aug. 14, and that an autopsy found more than 70 stab wounds on his body as well as neck trauma and facial fractures.

Authorities say Cornwell and Bixler burned their clothes after burying Trahan. According to court documents, police found traces of blood and mulch on their socks and shoes after their arrest.

Cornwell and Bixler were being held at the Marion County Jail without bond. Messages seeking comment were left with attorneys listed as representing them.
