FLASHER, N.D. (AP) - Residents of Flasher appear to have narrowly approved a $6 million bond to fund a new high school wing, community gym and updates to the town’s elementary school.

KXMB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1KxBhHt ) that unofficial results from Tuesday’s election show the measure passing with 61 percent of the vote.

A 60 percent majority was required. School Board President George Leingang says the measure passed by only two votes.

The project will take 12-16 months to complete.

About 300 people live in the community southwest of Bismarck.
