ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Allentown’s City Council is considering a review of police training following the arrest of a street singer that was caught on videotape.

Some viewers have raised concerns after the video showed police knocking James Osche to the ground outside a restaurant on Friday.

More than a dozen people attended Wednesday’s council meeting. While some were critical of the response, others supported the police department.

Councilwoman Jeannette Eichenwald, who heads the public safety committee, said she plans to call a hearing soon.

She said it’s not a “pejorative thing” for the police, but it’s “a matter of being aware.”
