LEAD, S.D. (AP) - Authorities have identified the victim in what they say is a homicide in Lead.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office says preliminary results from an autopsy indicate 27-year-old Caitlin Walsh, of Lead, died of stab wounds sometime before her body was discovered Monday evening.

Forty-four-year-old James Rogers Jr. was arrested Monday and is being held without bond on a first-degree murder charge. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.

Authorities have not released details of the incident that led to Walsh’s death.
