MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a Madison man they say was fatally stabbed by his on-again, off-again girlfriend.

The Wisconsin State Journal (https://bit.ly/1WGiS4q ) reports that the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man Wednesday as Terrence Woods. Police say he was found injured Tuesday in a common area of a Madison apartment, and later died at a hospital.

A 25-year-old woman was arrested on a tentative charge of first-degree reckless homicide. According to police, she had called police earlier in the day, accusing Woods of trying to run over her and her child.

Police say they were called back to the apartments later for a report that the woman had a knife. Police spokesman Joel DeSpain said authorities were looking for Woods before the stabbing occurred.
