BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - A 13-year-old Butte girl who was the subject of a missing and endangered person alert has been located in Butte and is safe.

Butte-Silver Bow law enforcement said MacKenzie Morrison was taken from her home at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday by her mother, 30-year-old Jessica Rojas of Texas. Morrison has been under the care of Child and Family Services after her mother abandoned her six years ago.

Officials canceled the alert Thursday morning, saying Morrison had been located.

No other information was immediately released.
