SALISBURY, Conn. (AP) - State police say two teens were injured in go-cart crashes after they allegedly broke into the Lime Rock Park race track in Salisbury.

Police say the crash happened at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday after five people broke into the park and started up five go-carts.

Police say a 15-year-old girl was hospitalized at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford with head and torso injures. A 15-year-old boy was taken to Sharon Hospital with injuries to his head and arms.

The go-carts belong to a vendor at the Salisbury racetrack and were there for a weekend event.

An investigation continues.
