MULBERRY GROVE, Ill. (AP) - The coroner in Fayette County says a south-central Illinois man died when he fell from a scaffold.

Coroner Bruce Bowen says 67-year-old James Hickman of Mulberry Grove was working on a friend’s siding Tuesday afternoon when he lost his balance and fell 28 feet onto a concrete patio.

The Effingham Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1KxDYsr ) that Bowen pronounced Hickman dead at the scene.

Mulberry Grove is about 60 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri.
