ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is in South Carolina this week for a town hall meeting with one of the state’s senators.

Jindal is in Spartanburg on Thursday night for a town hall with U.S. Sen. Tim Scott.

The event is to be held in the Leonard Auditorium at Wofford College. The program is free, but people interested in attending should register online at www.timstownhalls.com/jindalrsvp .

Scott has already hosted former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee for a session of his 2016 Tim’s Town Halls.

Scott says the series is intended to help South Carolina voters hear from candidates vying for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination. Other Republican presidential hopefuls are scheduled for other dates later in the year.
