NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Loyola University’s College of Law has received a $118,500 grant for an incubator program aimed at helping new lawyers engaged in social justice work.

The university said in a Wednesday news release that the grant came from Ed and Kathy Womac of the Womac Law Firm in New Orleans.

The incubator program is a mentorship and skills program available to Loyola Law School graduates who are engaged in a full time, social justice-oriented solo practice in the New Orleans area.

The program began in January with five young lawyers.
