NEW HAVEN, Ind. (AP) - A northern Indiana company that makes components for recreational vehicles and manufactured homes expects to add 125 jobs at a newly acquired plant site by expanding into the watercraft seating business.

Lippert Components Inc. says the new jobs will come to a former Signature Seating plant in New Haven. The company will spend about $680,000 adding equipment needed to make upholstered watercraft seating.

The (Fort Wayne) Journal Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1E6D1uw ) that Elkhart-based Lippert acquired Signature last week for $16 million.

The company expects to add the 125 jobs at the plant just east of Fort Wayne by the end of 2018.

New Haven planning director Brian Yoh says most of those jobs would be in sewing, upholstery, woodworking and assembly, and workers would earn an average of $13 an hour.
