ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - A man shot at a hotel in the northern South Dakota city of Aberdeen has been released from a hospital.

The mother of Curtis Paysen tells the American News (https://bit.ly/1E70rQe ) that he was released from a Sioux Falls hospital on Wednesday, four days after he suffered a head injury in an early morning shooting at the Hampton Inn and Suites.

Nineteen-year-old Jordan Mercure, of Fort Collins, Colorado, faces a felony aggravated assault charge and several misdemeanors in the shooting that authorities allege happened during an alcohol-fueled argument. He hasn’t yet entered a plea, and is due back in court Aug. 31.

Mercure and Paysen attended high school together in Aberdeen
