FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in Fayetteville have arrested five people in connection with the beating death of a 24-year-old woman.

A preliminary arrest report says the body of Victoria Davis of Fayetteville was found in a house on Wednesday with injuries indicating blunt force trauma. Police discovered the body after someone reported he had killed his wife.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1E7sG15 ) those arrested include: 27-year-old John Davis, 45-year-old Mark Chumley, 29-year-old Christopher Treat, 29-year-old Desire Treat and 36-year-old Rebecca Lloyd.

Reports indicate John Davis had wounds on his face when authorities arrived at the house and was taken to the hospital. During an interview with police, Davis told investigators that he and three others kept Victoria Davis captive and beat her for several hours before destroying physical evidence at the crime scene.
